Wisconsin map

The Town of Stockbridge is located along the east shore of the state’s largest inland lake, Lake Winnebago. The Town also boasts the beautiful Niagara Escarpment, which parallels the lakeshore. The topography, escarpment and the amount of lake frontage make this area a truly magnificent treasure. The Town also has a wealth of Native American history and takes its name from the Stockbridge Indians that settled this area.

The Town of Stockbridge was organized as a unit of government in 1844. At one time it covered practically the entire northern half of Calumet County.
